iOS 27.2 is Here: Siri Gets a Major Brain Boost

iOS 27.2

Apple has officially released iOS 27.2, the latest update to its flagship mobile operating system, and the headlining feature is a dramatically smarter Siri. While every update brings improvements, this version focuses heavily on expanding Siri’s artificial intelligence capabilities, making the virtual assistant feel more intuitive and integrated than ever before.

The most significant upgrade is Conversation Memory. Siri can now track context across an ongoing conversation. This means you can ask a follow-up question without having to re-explain the topic or restate the details from your previous query, enabling a more natural, fluid interaction.

Furthermore, Siri now possesses Deeper Personal Context. With user permission, the assistant can intelligently pull relevant information directly from a wider range of Apple apps, including your Messages, upcoming Calendar appointments (and attendees), voicemails, and even your Safari reading list. This allows Siri to provide hyper-relevant answers based on your actual data.

In a welcome usability fix, Apple has also introduced Granular Text Selection. If Siri provides a long written response, users are no longer forced to copy the entire block of text. You can now tap and drag to select only the specific portion you need.

Finally, expanding its global reach, Siri has added New AI Languages, with native support now available for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. The iOS 27.2 update is available now and can be downloaded over-the-air via your device’s Settings app.
